Former Mayor's Wife Writes the Almaguin News

To the Editor:

I know I am in a good position to explain my husband’s personality and character. I’ve known Jeff for well over 50 years and his family even longer. He is a wonderful loving father and grandfather, unfailingly devoted to his extended family and friends, has a strong work ethic, and is an expert at managing money.
Jeff has cared for and stood by members of my family, and his family, over the years. He is a cancer survivor.
These character traits and life experiences are typical of many of the people of Kearney. As an ordinary man and small town boy, Jeff respects and holds the townspeople in the highest regard.
Jeff will always do the right thing, and his heart is absolutely in the right place. I know his motives are true and clear and he has spent his whole life advocating for the underdog. He is unquestionably honest and fair.
All this I know for sure.
Feel free to disagree with him. He would never hesitate to say he is wrong or make amends.
You need to know that the so-called feud between Jeff and Mayor Tomlinson is overshadowing the important issues that Jeff is trying to resolve in the very best interests of the towns people. If Jeff appears contentious, it is because logic and reason appear not to have any influence.
